Solution

If the domain is firstname-lastname.*, …
… and your name is Firstname Lastname, but the domain owner's is not, you have a chance to legally enforce the domain name transfer to you.

If the domain is your registered business name, …
… and the domain ownder does not also run a business with that name in a different place, you can try to legally enforce the domain name transfer to you, too.

If the domain is your brand name or similar to it, …
… and if it is used commercially or in a way that your brand name could be confused with the domain, you can also try to enforce a domain name transfer legally.

In these three cases you should consult a specialist lawyer for trademark or media law on the chance of success and costs of a lawsuit.

Else and as an alternative to litigation, Bitpalace offers a whole lot of new domain endings, so that you may not get your desired domain in the originally planned ending, but in a different ending. If miller-photo.com is already taken, you could consider miller.photo instead. New domain endings are attractive, because they indicate the topic a website is about on first sight.

With our domain name search you can check the availability of all domain endings that Bitpalace offers.
